![]() For all other cases, blame your rigs or software developers. Hello Few days ago I watched a few videos and read a couple of topics where people recommend setting the Optimal parameter in Power Management mode instead of Maximum Performance. But as I said, such cases where Optimal is causing stutter are pretty rare and only happens in situations when GPU is in idle for most of the time. Performance is also affected by the number of streaming multiprocessors (SM) for NVidia GPUs, or compute units (CU) for AMD GPUs, which describe the number of. If this low GPU frequency is causing you stutter, select higher power mode. ![]() This 27ms wait results in low GPU utilization->low GPU frequency. In your case, if you have 33ms for a frame capped by SW or waiting for Vblank, let's say your frame is rendered in 6ms, that means GPU has to wait 27ms before it can start rendering another. No power option has any effect on number of rendered frames. We really don’t have an explanation for that either. GPU doesn't have some magic AI telling it whether there was a pixel different from a previous frame or not. On this video card, it is Optimal Power that is the slowest at 79.8FPS and Adaptive and Prefer Maximum Performance are 2-FPS faster at 81FPS. Some are processed instantly, some are delayed, but after calling D3DDevice->Present, it is PRESENTED. GPU is just processing commands going from APP->API->DRIVER->GPU. Don't spread such BS you know nothing about. There is no: "no new images are rendered if no changes are detected" or some other magic. Thursday, Octo3:29 PM ( ) Perfer high performance allows it to keep it from dropping below base clock. ![]() Click to expand.Jesus you guys really don't know a first thing about rendering process.
